Dorothy (McNutt) O'Donnell Perks, 91, of Worcester, passed away peacefully at home with her daughter by her side. She is survived by her children, John O'Donnell and his wife, Karen of Millbury, Patricia Monz and her husband, Mike of Tuscon, AZ, Kathleen Welsh and her husband, Joe of Cape Canaveral, FL, Joan O'Donnell with whom she lived and Charles Perks, Sr. of Worcester; four grandchildren, Lisa, Shannon, Ryan and Charlie; three great-grandchildren, Kayla, Kody and Iris, her sister-in-law Joan McNutt and several nieces and nephews. Her granddaughter, Erin O'Donnell, her sister, Barbara Raymond and two brothers, Arthur and Robert McNutt predeceased her.
Dorothy was born in Worcester, the daughter of Gervace and Catherine (Haggerty) McNutt and grew up in Shrewsbury. She had been employed in the production department for MicroNetworks and later for Raytheon, retiring in 1991. Dorothy, a self taught and talented artist enjoyed oil paints on canvas as her medium. She also enjoyed arts and crafts, dancing, Irish and Italian Festivals. Her wonderful sense of humor allowed a constant flow of laughter. She loved her children more than anything and she will live forever in our hearts.
The family would like to thank her adopted daughter, Trickle for always being there, Donna for her visits, Carls for her cards, Denise for her food and kindness, as well as her helpers, Robin, Lori, Alyssa, Jenna, Kathleen, "angel" Kaley and Linda.
Her funeral is Monday, December 19th at 11:00 a.m. in O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday, December 18th from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
