Larry Wayne Kimzey, Sr. age 71, died Wednesday, December 14, at his home in Water Valley, MS. He was born May 15, 1945 in Water Valley, MS to the late Carlton Brewer and Francis Mills Kimzey. Larry was an active member of O’Tuckolofa Baptist Church of Water Valley. He was a farmer and loved growing cotton. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved his family and enjoyed hunting.
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 15, 2016 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, December 16, 2016 at O’Tuckolofa Baptist Church with Bro. Dan Dickerson and Bro. James Edwards officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley, MS with John Ingram, Harry Neal, Charles Heath, Tim Mills, Frank B. Brooks, Horace Hardy, and Ricky Wood serving as pallbearers.
Larry is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary Ayers Kimzey of Water Valley, MS; three sons, Larry Wayne Kimzey, Jr., Kevin Kimzey (Missy), and Chad Kimzey (Melissa) all of Water Valley, MS; one sister, Eva Williams (Bobby) of Water Valley, MS; six grandchildren, Lauren, Kane, Kelsey, Sidney, Tyler, and Mary Claire.
