NASHUA,NH - Michael Francis Coughlin, age 55, a beloved father, brother and dear friend died peacefully at his Nashua home on Monday evening after a brief illness. He was born in Dorchester, in February 1961, a son of the late Francis "Mickey" Coughlin and Ann M. (Cunningham) Coughlin. Mike was raised in Billerica and graduated from BMHS, class of 1979. Mike lived most of his life in Billerica and Southern NH, most recently Nashua. He worked as a truck driver prior to retiring for Associated Grocers, and in his early career was a member of AFL-CIO, Boston Local 25. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Billerica Elks. Michael loved life, his family and friends. He was fun, kind, and much loved by all who knew him. He will be remembered for his kind heart and great sense of humor. He was a master grill chef who believed in "cooking on low heat" even if it took all day. His family will never be able to fill the void left by his sudden passing. He leaves behind his daughter, Emily Paige Coughlin of Litchfield, NH; three sisters, Karen A. Ricardo of Vero Beach FL, Linda M. Coughlin and her fiancé John DiCiaccio of Pelham, Jennifer J. Stacey and her husband George of Hudson, NH; a brother, Mark P. Coughlin and his fiancé Sheryl Mercier of Pelham NH along with her children, Roger, Kailynd and Bubba. His beloved nieces and nephews Chris Balba, Airman Andrew Walker, Katelyn Walker and Madison Stacey. He also leaves many close friends and his animal family, Dougal, Nikki, Noah, George and Bella.
Visiting hours Sunday, Dec. 18, from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. in the Tewksbury Funeral Home, corner of 1 Dewey and 975 Main Sts. (Rte. 38) TEWKSBURY CENTER, Ph. (800 in MA or 978) 851 2950.
