ROBERT A. ANDREWS, 92, of Louisville, passed away December 14, 2016 at the Hosparus Inpatient Care Center with his family by his side.
He was born in Beatrice, NE, the son of the late Harvey and Maybelle Andrews.
Bob worked for Naval Ordnance for over 30 years. He was an Army veteran, having served during World War II. He was a long time member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. Bob was an avid college sports fan, pulling for UK, U of L and Nebraska football.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Norma Smith Andrews and sisters Evelyn James and Frances Keane.
He is survived by his children, Steve Andrews (Theresa) and Karen Andrews Quick (Kim); grandchildren, Geof Andrews, Ryan Quick (CJ), Brandon Quick and Kevin Quick (Lauren) as well as nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express the utmost gratitude to the staff of Hosparus for their attentive and compassionate care.
Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Monday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway followed by burial at Cave Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be 2 – 4 p.m. & 6 – 8 Sunday.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hosparus.
