Dewey Edward House, Jr., age 68, died Monday, December 12, 2016 at Baptist Memorial Hospital East in Memphis, TN. He was born November 9, 1948 in Memphis, TN to the late Dewey Edward, Sr. and Julia Wilson House. Dewey was self-employed as a diesel mechanic in Oakland, MS and also worked as a volunteer camp ground host for Enid Corp of Engineers. He was of Methodist faith and a devoted father and grandfather who loved his family and enjoyed telling stories, hunting and fishing. He was an avid Alabama football fan.
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 15, 2016 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 1:00 pm in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks. Burial will be in the Goshen cemetery in Yalobusha County, MS.
Dewey is survived by his daughter, Audra McLearen (Micah) of Hernando, MS; his son, Dewey E. House, III (Mallory) of Hernando, MS; two sisters, Ruby Potts of Sardis, MS and Judy Moss of Memphis, TN; two brothers, Billy Mack Shots and Bobby Shots both of McAllen, TX; four grandchildren, Addisan, Peyton, Adam, and Whitney.
