Elaine M. DiPietro, of Reading formerly of Medford passed away unexpectedly on December 11, 2016, at the Winchester Hospital. She was 57 years of age. Elaine was the beloved wife of Gilbert A. DiPietro. Born in Malden she was the daughter of the late Gordon C. and Helen D. (Elrick) MacPherson.
Elaine was raised and educated in Medford and was a 1977 graduate of Medford High School. She worked for 34 years as a Budget Director for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts’s Mental Health Department. Mostly devoted to her loving family and many dear friends, Elaine was always keeping busy. She enjoyed hosting all family functions and especially hosting the holiday celebrations, decorating her home and making sure everything was just perfect.
She cherished spending time with her family and friends vacationing in Maine or on Cape Cod. In her leisure time she enjoyed spending many hours relaxing in her hot tub.
In addition to her beloved husband, Elaine is survived by her devoted children, Danielle DiPietro, Matthew DiPietro and Ryan DiPietro, all of Reading. She was the loving grandmother of Aiden DiPietro. Cherished sister of Sandra Lindonen of Stoneham and David MacPherson of Leominster. She is further survived by a niece and a nephew and many loving cousins.
A funeral service will be conducted in the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Saturday, December 17th, at 3:30 pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 12 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Interment will be private. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Elaine's memory to the charity of your choice.
