Beverly Ann “Bev” Walters, age 78 of Duxbury, died peacefully on Sunday, December 11 at home, surrounded by family. She was the wife of Bertram L Walters, and mother to John Walters of New Bedford, MA, Richard Walters of Apex, NC & Thomas Walters of Nashua, NH. She was also the loving sister of Florence West, Richard Meehan (deceased), and Dennis Meehan, grandmother to Brian Walters, Evelyn Walters and Mary Grace Walters. Born in 1938 in North Bergen, NJ, daughter of Joseph and Emily Meehan (nee Miliano), she spent most of her early life in NJ before moving to Greenville, SC, Knoxville, TN, and Bridgewater, NJ ultimately settling in Duxbury in 1970. Active in residential real estate for over 3 decades, including owning and operating a successful real estate firm for many years in Duxbury, Bev also served as President of the Plymouth County Board or Realtors, and several other leadership roles with the organization over many years. Bev was also very active in her volunteer activities, especially with the Alzheimers support group at the Duxbury Senior Center over many years as well.
