Obituary

Westport – Manuel Narciso, 65, of Westport died Wednesday, August 17, 2005 at home with his family by his side after a brief illness. He was the husband of Judith P. (Brilhante) Narciso.

He was born in Fall River, son of the late Antone and Mary (Telles) Narciso, and had resided in Westport for over 40 years. Mr. Narciso received his B.A. in business from Bradford Durfee College of Technology now University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and received his Masters Degree in education from Bridgewater State College.

Prior to his retirement in 2002, he was the principal of the Hugo A. Dubuque School, Fall River for 30 years and a night teacher at Bristol Community College for the G.E.D. program. He was also a science teacher at the Morton Middle School, Fall River. He enjoyed fishing, quahogging, boating, cooking, traveling and reading.

Including his widow, he is survived by a son: Mark A. Narciso of Westport; a daughter: Rachel A. Lambert of Westport; a brother: Reginald Narciso of Portsmouth, RI; 3 grandchildren: Melodie T. Lambert, Dylen M. Lambert and Cloey A. Narciso; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be from the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Road, Westport, Monday, August 22, 2005 at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Notre Dame Church, Fall River at 10:00 A.M.

Calling hours Sunday 4 – 7 P.M.

Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
