Rose Marie (Gangi) Baldassarre of Somerville died on Monday, December 12. Born and raised in East Boston, she was the daughter of the late John and Phyllis (Aulino) Gangi. Rose lived in Somerville, Stoneham and Burlington before returning to Somerville 7 years ago.
Rose was the beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Baldassarre M.D., and the devoted mother of Marcia Baldassarre, Joseph Baldassare and his wife Elaine, all of Woburn, and John Baldassarre and his wife Sharon of Nashua, New Hampshire. She was the loving grandmother of Joseph, Jillian, Michael, and the late John Paul, Jacqueline, and Alicia. Rose was the loving great grandmother of Hailey, Heaven, Noelle, Kelsey, Christiano, Grace, and Everly, and.sister of the late Dominic Gangi and his wife Ida. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Rose's family wishes to express their thanks to her caregivers, Veronica Carrington and Oumou Barry.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Monday, December 19 at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Visiting hours Sunday, December 18, from 4 through 8 PM.
