Emma S. (Lagomarsino) Nannene, age 93, of Winchester passed away peacfully August 17th at the Aberjona Nursing Home. She was the beloved wife of the late Peter Nannene for 55 years.
Born and raised in Somerville she was the daughter of the late Matilda (Ferrera) and John Lagomarsino. She was one of eleven children. Emma graduated from Somerville High School in 1928 and continued her education graduating from the Fischer Business School in 1930.
Emma worked as a bookkeeper for variuos companies including the famous Lobster House Restaurant which was operated by her husband for twenty years. After that Emma was employed by several local businesses including Olsen Cadillac and later helping her son Robert start Alpha Travel service in Woburn Center and retired in 1996. Emma was very devoted to her family and her great passion was cooking, much to the delight of the family.
In addition to her husband and parents, Emma is preceded in death by her sisters, Eva Vacaro, Lena Lagomarsino, brothers Louis, Frank, Joseph, Henry, Phil, Charles and John Lagomarsino. She is survived by her son Robert Nannene and his wife Sandy of Burlington. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Jody DelGaizo, Garrett and Douglas Nannene, and great grandson Connor Nannene. She is further survived by her sister Anne Lagomarsino of Cambridge.
Funeral from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home 60 Pleasant St. Woburn, Monday, at 8 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Charles Church, 280 Main St. Woburn, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visting hours Sunday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester.
