Ruth G. Snow, 96, of Ledyard passed away peacefully at her residence on December 11, 2016. Born July 4, 1920, in Stonington CT, Ruth was a lifelong resident of Ledyard and grew up on a farm that had been in the family since 1860, known as the Gray Farm.
Mrs. Snow worked at the Ledyard Town Hall and later worked at Mystic Oral School. Mrs. Snow also worked at Peila Electric.
Ruth belonged to the Ledyard Grange, Ledyard Congregational Church and a member of Eastern Star. Many people in the town knew and loved her. She did sewing for police and others.
Ruth married Richard Allen Snow in 1958. He predeceased her in February of 1992. Ruth is predeceased by all her brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her son Lloyd Elliott Gray and his wife Sandra Gray of Ledyard, three grandchildren Tymothy Gray and his wife Sharie Gray of Ledyard, Tabetha Hatcher of Groton and Tracy Gaccione of Ledyard. She is also survived by two great grandsons, and two great granddaughters and two great great grandchildren.
There are no calling hours. Burial will be private.
