Richard G. Reagan, age 88, of Brockton, died December 10, 2016 at Southeast Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center following a period of failing health. Dick was the husband of the late Marian E. (Foster) Reagan. Born and raised in Brockton, he was the son of the late Newman and Janice (Campbell) Reagan. He attended St. Patrick School and Coyle Cassidy High School. He was a WWII Navy veteran and was stationed aboard the USS Bennett. For over 25 years, Dick worked for Grande Brothers Construction, erecting the staging for their large construction projects. Dick was a competitive and avid sportsman winning many contests. One of his passions that Dick enjoyed most was waking up early in the morning and fishing the Cape Cod Canal using one of his many popping plugs to lure in striped bass. He also treasured fishing on his stepson Tom’s boat. Every year in the fall Dick looked forward to his other passion, deer hunting with his bow and arrow, shot gun and black powder gun. In his younger days Dick played many sports including baseball, golf and bowling. He also loved to watch the Bruins, Red Sox and Patriots.
Dick is survived by his stepchildren, Dennis Nicholson and his wife Janice of Plymouth, Corinne Austin and her husband Philip of South Easton and Thomas Nicholson and his wife Colleen of North Easton; 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Betty Eastman and Robert Reagan.
