CUNNIFF- Of Chelsea, unexpectedly, December 7th at the age of 62. Devoted son of the late Albert and Elizabeth (Saladino) Cunniff. Lovingly suvived by many cousins and friends Family and friends are kindlyinvited to attend a Funeral from the Smith Funeral Home, 125 Washington Avenue, CHELSEA on Saturday, December 17th at 8:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Rose Church, 600 Broadway, Chelsea at 10 o'clock. Services will conclude with interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Expressions of sympathy in James' name may be made to the Chelsea Community Center, 207 Shurtleff Street, Chelsea, MA 02150.
Always a happy and friendly person, James passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday morning. For over 30 years, until his retirement, he worked in customer service, first at Bradlee's and after it's closing, next door at Save-a-Lot. An avid reader of newspapers, he always was current with the events of Chelsea and the world. A fanatic for the local sports teams, he kept every ticket stub for any of the games he went to. In his spare time he enjoyed bowling, most of the time at the lanes in East Boston.
