FALL RIVER – Antonio V. Amaral, age 69 of Fall River, passed away peacefully on Sat. Dec. 10, 2016. He was the beloved husband of Maria (Costa) Amaral. Born in Santo Antonio Alem Capelas, São Miguel, Açores, he was the son of the late Antonio V. & Maria (Dos Santos) Amaral. Prior to retiring, Antonio worked as a Machine Operator for Quaker Mfg. Co.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Stephen V. Amaral and Diane A. Medeiros (husband Arthur) all of Fall River; 3 grandchildren: Ronaldo Amaral, Kyle Medeiros, & Victoria Amaral; 5 brothers: Alberto, João, Arthur, Nick, & Jose Amaral; 7 sisters: Urcelina DeMello, Maria Dos Santos Oliveira, Delores Camara, Lucy Benfeito, Margarida Teixeira, Odilia Tavares, & the late Teresa daCosta; many nieces & nephews.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Wednesday, Dec. 14th at 9:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph’s Church at 10:30 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River.
