HUDSON, MA
Adelina T. Chaves, 85, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at Marlborough Hospital after an illness.
He husband, Jose R. Chaves, passed away thirty years ago. She is survived by four children, Maria A. Loura of Hudson, Beatrice M. Chaves of Hudson, Antonio R. Chaves of Clinton and Lina M. Faldetta of Dudley; her sister, Filomena Cabral of Hudson; her brother, Francisco Felix of Taunton; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
Adelina was born in Santa Maria, Azores, Portugal, the daughter of Jose F. and Maria (Chaves) Chaves. She was a member of St. Michael’s Church and loved to travel and people watch.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, December 13, from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Tighe Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson. Funeral services for Adelina will be held from the funeral home on Wednesday, December 14, with a 9 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael’s Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow at Forestvale Cemetery in Hudson.
