Margaret M. (Thompson) Spellman, a resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Monday, December 5, 2016 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston following an extended illness. She was 78 years old.
Margaret was born in Methil, Fife, Scotland on November 3, 1938, a daughter of the late Walter P. Thompson and Annie (MacGregor) Thompson. She grew up in Scotland where she was educated before moving to the United States many years ago. Margaret worked as a Legal Assistant for Foster Grant Company in Leominster, Massachusetts for many years. She was a long time member of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society of New England.
Margaret is the devoted mother of John Gilligan Spellman of San Francisco, California and Suzanne B. Hendery of South Hampton, Massachusetts. She is the loving grandmother to Brian Hendery of South Hampton, Massachusetts. She is the beloved sister of Anne G. Gray of Edinburgh, Scotland. She is the loving aunt of Jennifer Temperly of Edinburgh, Scotland and David Gray of Potomac, Maryland.
Margaret's Funeral Services and burial will be private.
