Obituary

Homer “Hank” J. Daigle 86, of East School St. died December 3, 2016. He was the husband of Jacqueline (Martineau) Daigle. Born in Torrington, CT, he was a son of the late Joseph and Annette (Theroux) Daigle. Hank was a US Navy Veteran. He worked as a sewing machine repair man for the Sadwin Co. for several years. Hank was a member of the Woonsocket Lodge of Elks. An avid pool player and card player who could ski almost as well as he could dance. His love for life was obvious and shared by those who were lucky enough to surround him.

Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, Michael and Allen Daigle both of Woonsocket; three daughters, Susan Belair of GA, Rose Maltais of MI, and Tina Jellison of MA; a brother, Eugene Daigle of Woonsocket; six sisters, Lucille Drainville of Greenville, Pauline Fortier of Hyannis, MA, Lillian Scirocco of Woonsocket, Yvonne Piette and Constance St. Germain both of North Smithfield, and Vivian Daigle of Wilbraham, MA; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Lucienne Marks.

Visiting hours will be held Thursday 4-7 PM at the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket. Burial in the RI Veteran Memorial Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer’s Association RI Chapter, 245 Waterman St., Ste. 306 Providence, RI 02906-5215 in his memory would be appreciated.
