Obituary

William F. (Bill) Kaylor, 67, of Westport, formerly of Somerset, navigated his way to heaven Monday, December 5, 2016. He was the devoted husband of Paula D. (Coutroubis) Kaylor. Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Edward and Florence (Poisson) Kaylor.

Bill was a Somerset High School graduate, class of 1966. He received his B.S. from U-Mass Amherst. Bill taught physical education for the Fall River Public Schools for 35 years. He coached various teams over the years, and was president of the Fall River Educators Association for 10 years before retiring in 2006.

Bill was an avid Patriot’s and Red Sox fan. He also enjoyed P.C. Friars basketball games. You could often find Bill building something or cooking for family and friends. Everyone enjoyed his St. Patrick’s Day feasts and lobster boils. His hobbies including reading, athletics, friends, family and his sailboat. He was a member of the FREA, MA Teachers Assoc., National Education Assoc., and Ocean State Catalina Assoc.

Along with his loving wife he is survived by his children; Erin Shurtleff (husband Billy), Lindsay Kaylor (fiancé Jason Mello), Bryana Donnelly (fiancé Derek Diogo) and Andrea Donnelly. His Grandchildren; Zakary Kaylor, Owen and Logan Shurtleff and Avery Mello. His Brothers; Daniel (wife Annette) and Kevin (wife Patricia), many cousins, nieces and nephews and his first wife Christine Kaylor.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Thomas Chew Memorial Boys & Girls Club of Fall River, 803 Bedford St. Fall River, MA 02723.

His funeral service will be held in the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Thursday at 10:30 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours Wednesday 3-5 & 7-9 P.M. www.rogersfuneral.com.
