Loretta Vaillancourt, 74, of Derry, NH, formerly of Methuen, passed away on December 2, 2016 at home.
She was born on May 12, 1942 to the late Theodore Frechette and the late Stella (Prenaveau) in Lawrence, MA. Loretta retired after nearly 30 years as a storekeeper with Raytheon. She was a women who was known for her selfless generosity. Loretta had a love of living life by her own rules, especially when it came to playing cards. She was a woman who was deeply devoted and cherished by her family. Always to keep in contact with everyone in her inner circle, Loretta could be counted on by anyone in their time of need. In her leisure time she spent countless hours crocheting special themed blankets for all of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Recently she enjoyed tending to her flowers and feeding her many bird friends.
Loretta was the devoted mother to her children, Collette Demers and her husband, Dean, of Methuen, Susan Worthen and her husband, Eric, of Methuen, John Vaillancourt and his wife, Doreen, of Derry, NH and Denine Itasaka and her husband, Tabo, of Whitefield, NH. She was the loving grandmother to Melissa, Jeremy, Joshua, Annabelle, David, Kristy, Darcy, Kelsey, Meaghan, Katie, Jill, Jimmy, Jessica, Justin, Alex and Jadon. Loretta was also the great grandmother to Jason, Kellen, Kendall, Charlie, Andy, Aiden, Maddie, Liam, Grace, Declan, Skyler, Cadence and Jace. She was the cherished niece of Gertrude Earnshaw of Methuen and is also survived by several nieces. She was preceded in death by her grandson Drew.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, Dec. 6, from 4-7 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Methuen, MA. Interment will be private
