Debra T. Brunelle, 59, of Woonsocket died Monday November 28, 2016 at Landmark Medical Center. She was the loving wife of Russell J. Brunelle. They were married on June 10, 1978 and shared over 38 wonderful years together.
Born in Woonsocket on August 9, 1957 she was a daughter of the late Henry R. and Lucille (Cook) Roy. She was a lifelong resident of the city.
Debra worked as a CNA at Zambrano Hospital, Mt. St. Francis, The Friendly Home and Oakland Grove Health Care Centers. Caring for others was Debra’s mission in life.
Debra was completely devoted to her family and would stop at nothing to help whose she was closest to. She liked to read, kit, sew, go for walks and spend time with her husband. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
She will be greatly missed by those who survive her including her husband Russell Brunelle, her daughter Kimberly Brunelle, her adopted daughter Sarah Champagne, her brother Henry R. “Bobby” Roy Jr. and his wife, Lynne. She was the grandmother of Andrew Brunelle and his mother, Dawn, who also has been like a daughter to Debra for over twenty years. She was the mother of the late Sara Brunelle and sister of the late Michael Roy and his wife Norma Roy.
In accordance with Debra’s wishes services are private. In lieu flowers memorial donations may be made to the Woonsocket Cat Sanctuary, 266 Mendon Rd. Woonsocket, RI. 02895 where Debra received her beloved furry companions.
