James "Jim" Robert Wilson
November 25, 1955- November 22, 2016
James “Jim” Robert Wilson, 60, went home to be with the Lord on November 22, 2016 after a brief illness.
He was born on November 25, 1955 in Muncie to Charles Wilson and Rachel “Kay” Ice. He resided in Anderson, IN for most of his life. He was a 1974 graduate of Highland High School and worked for Prudential Insurance for over 30 years.
In 1975 he married his high school sweetheart, Cheryl “Scharnowske” Wilson and enjoyed 40 years of marriage before losing her to illness in 2015.
He is survived by sister, Carolyn (Danny) Wilson of Chesterfield; nieces, Amanda (George) Ancil of Anderson, Danielle Wilson of Chesterfield; great-nephews, Andrew, Brandon and Skyler Ancil all of Anderson; aunts, Sandra Stephens of Anderson, Connie (Ronnie) Baker of Muncie; and four cousins.
He was a member of LivRite Fitness and supported multiple charities, including the American Cancer Society and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. He was an avid scuba diver and loved traveling, especially to the Caribbean. He enjoyed golfing, flea markets and visiting with friends, but most of all he loved walking and spending time with his dogs.
Jim was preceded in death by wife, Cheryl Wilson (Scharnowske); father, Charles Wilson and mother, Rachel “Kay” Ice (Pipper).
Cremation was performed by Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
