Matthew J. Milner, 20, of Greenville, son of William J. and Linda K. (Rhodes) Milner of Greenville, died Saturday, August 13.
Matthew was a loan officer at Referral Mortgage Company in Warwick. He was a 2003 graduate of Smithfield High School. Matthew enjoyed all sports, most notably basketball and golf. He was a member of the Smithfield Youth Basketball Assn. and the St. Philip CYO Basketball program. Matthew enjoyed officiating youth basketball games and was looking forward to coaching this fall. Matthew’s quick wit and gift of humor will long be remembered by his family and many friends.
Besides his parents, he is survived two brothers, William J. Milner II of Hope Valley and Michael P. Milner of Greenville, two sisters, Kelly E. Milner of Greenville, Jennifer M. Jagdmann and brother in law, Garret Jagdmann of Sarasota, FL, his paternal grandparents, Cecil J. and Ruth E. (LaPointe) Milner of Dothan, AL, maternal grandmother, Marie (Paradis) Rhodes of Rose Valley, PA, and a great-grandmother Ida (Michaud) Paradis of Caribou, ME. He was the grandson of the late William K. Rhodes.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 9:30am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike Greenville. Burial will be in Acotes Hill Cemetery. Visitation Thursday 4-8pm in the *ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Rt.44 at Greenville Common, Greenville, RI.
