Claudette (Levesque) Thibault, 80 of Salem, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers on Sunday, November 27, 2016. She was the devoted wife of Lionel H. ‘Spike‘ Thibault, with whom she shard 60 years of marriage.
Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Amanda (Dionne) Levesque.
Claudie worked as a receptionist for the Salem Hospital for 40 years, retiring in 1994. Her family came first and as the grandchildren came along, Claudie loved attending their sporting events. She also enjoyed traveling, trips to Foxwoods, bowling and bingo. She was a life member of Ste. Anne Parish.
In addition to her husband Spike, she is survived by three daughters, Donna M. Corkum and her husband Freeman of Ipswich, Debra Hiltunen and her husband Peter of Glen Allen, VA, Doreen A. Fuller of Salem, NH, her favorite son, Michael A. Thibault and his wife JoAnn of Bradford, seven grandchildren, Dr. Kristine Corkum and husband Kyle Lister, Kimberly A. & William F. Corkum, Amanda L. Ryan and husband Tim, Courtney A. Hiltunen, Nathaniel H. & Zachary L. Fuller. She also leaves her sisters, Anita Murtagh and husband John of Beverly, Jacqueline Caron and husband Robert of Danvers and Phyllis Meaney and husband Peter of Salem as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Lorraine Tondreault, Irene Levesque, Patricia Murtagh, & Pauline Dube and brothers George & Richard Levesque.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Levesque Funeral Home on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 9:30 AM to be followed by her Funeral Mass in Ste. Anne Church, 290 Jefferson Ave., Salem at 10:30 AM. A committal service will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be on Friday, December 2nd from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
