Obituary

Adrien Boucher, age 89, passed away peacefully on Nov 28, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Feb 25, 1927 in Saint-Raphaël, Quebec, Canada to the late Napoleon and Yvonne (Couture) Boucher. Adrien was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Springfield. He trained as a mason contractor when he moved to the US at the age of 17 and worked well into his 70s. Adrien was a joyful man and always had a smile on his face. He also was a championship shuffleboard player for years in Hallandale FL where he and his wife Jeanette played for many enjoyable winters. Jeanette passed away in 2013 after sharing 56 years of marriage. He will be missed by all but especially his great-grandchildren. He leaves his four children, Denise Janci and her husband Eddie Coffey of Wilbraham; Diane Boucher and her husband Howard Stanton of Springfield, Alan Boucher of Hollywood, FL and Mark Boucher and his wife Carla of Westfield; seven grandchildren Jenna, Jill and Jeffrey Roberts, Mike and Meg Janci, Christopher and Cody Boucher; five great-grandchildren, Jordan, Caleb, Miles, Eva and Lily’nn, as well as, two sisters who still reside in Canada, Olivette Bouchard and Carmel Bissonette. A Funeral Service will be held on Sat. Dec 3, 2016 at 9:45 AM from the Grise Funeral Home 280 Springfield St. Chicopee, MA with a Funeral Mass to take place at 11:00 AM in Sacred Heart Church in Springfield. Burial will follow in St Rose de Lima Cemetery. Calling Hours will be held on Fri. Dec 2, 2016 from 4 to 7 PM at the funeral home.
