Marguerite “Marge” Bienvenue
Manchester– Marguerite “Marge” Bienvenue died peacefully on November 27, 2016 at Elliot Hospital.
She was born in Nashua the daughter of John and Celestine (Gosselin) O’Reilly and lived in Hudson during her school years.
She married the love of her life, Fred Bienvenue on February 23, 1946, her mom’s birthday at St. Francis Xavier Church in Nashua.
She was predeceased by her husband Alfred E. Bienvenue on March 15, 1994.
She was educated in Infant Jesus School in Nashua and graduated from St. Aloysius High School. She later enrolled in many college courses, mainly, computer courses at Southern NH University and the William Cashin Senior Center. She was a long time parishioner of St. Anthony Church, as well as a member of the Ladies of St. Anne. She was a Eucharistic Minister at Hanover Hill Nursing Home for 23 years.
She and her husband owned and operated a Manchester Catering Service for 24 years. She then became a Function Coordinator for the Elliot Hospital until her retirement. She was a longtime benefactor of the Sister of Precious Blood, in turn helping many children attend Catholic Schools.
Family members include many nieces, nephews and cousins. Her niece, Shirley Bienvenue Kania was like a daughter she never had, and always could depend on, and her nephew, Richard Bienvenue who was always at her beckon call.
Calling hours will be on Thursday from 9 to 10 AM in St. Joseph Cathedral. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated immediately at 10 AM.
Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery in Hudson at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Sisters of the Precious Blood, 700 Bridge St. Manchester NH 03104.
