Robert M. Fernandes, 65 of Attleboro, formerly of Taunton, passed away on November 27, 2016 at RI Hospital.
Mr. Fernandes was born in Taunton a son of Sylvina (Paulo-Pina) Frenandes of Taunton and the late John Fernandes, Sr.
Robert had lived most of his life in Taunton before moving to Attleboro 10 years ago. Before his illness he was employed by the City of Taunton with the street dept. for many years. Robert enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Besides his loving mother, Sylvina, he is survived by a daughter Robin Fernandes and a grandson Noah Gardner both of Taunton, he was the brother of Joseph Fernandes and wife Sue of Brandon, FL , Rhoda Walker and husband Deryll and Sylvia Fernandes all of Taunton, as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was also the brother of the late John Fernandes, Jr.
Robert’s funeral will be held on Friday, December 2, 2016 at 8:30 am from The Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway, Taunton, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Annunciation of the Lord Church, First St. in Taunton. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, December 1st from 4 to 7 pm.
