Belmont- Paul Perry Winsor, 89, of Great Brook Drive, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2016 at Lakes Region General Hospital.
Paul was born on October 17, 1927 in Boston, Massachusetts the son of the late Paul and Elizabeth (Gooch) Winsor. Paul had lived in Oregon for 23 years before moving back to New Hampshire several years ago.
Paul was a World War II veteran having served with United States Navy. Following his time in the Navy he worked as a retail hardware salesman for many different companies. Paul was also an Ordained Minister and proud to have married his son David and Catherine. He enjoyed his family, the Bible, lighthouses, eagles, crossword puzzles, and cultivating his sense of humor. Paul also enjoyed following the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots.
Paul is survived by his wife of 26 years, Carolyn (Ketteman) Winsor, of Belmont; 2 sons, David Winsor and his wife, Catherine of Gilmanton, William Winsor Sr. and his wife, Susan of Newark, VT; a daughter, Diane Vieira and her husband, Robert of Portsmouth. He is also survived by many grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and a niece, Susan Winsor of Laconia. In addition to his parents Paul is predeceased by 2 brothers, Richard Winsor and Jack Winsor.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 from 3:00 pm- 6:00 pm at the Wilkinson-Beane- Simoneau- Paquette Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia NH.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at 1:00pm, officiated by Rev. Nathan Searles, in the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH.
