Lawrence Edwin “Spider” Webb, 87, of Tifton passed away Sunday, November 27, 2016, at Tifton Health and Rehabilitation in Tifton. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2016, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Roger Tucker and the Rev. Pat Suggs officiating. Mr. Webb will be laid to rest at Tift Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 29, 2016, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Born June 29, 1929 in Clewiston, Florida, Mr. Webb was the son of the late Will Webb and Jettie Walker Webb. He was also preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters. He was retired as a security guard at MasterCraft and was formerly a crop duster.
Mr. Webb is survived by his wife, Betty Wylene Stone Webb of Tifton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Ann Webb of Ty Ty and Julian and Gail Webb of Alapaha; eight grandchildren and their spouses, Jimmie and Shanna Scarberry of Alabama, Joe and Jennifer Scarberry of Norman Park, Heaven and John Stone, Timothy and Donna Harnage and Belinda and Frank Dominques, all of Tifton, Garron and Alma Webb of Ocilla, Andy Webb of Alapaha and Chrissy and Robin McMillan of Nashville; and 15 great-grandchildren.
