Harold A. Johnson, Jr., 56 of Worcester passed away Friday, November 25th in Brigham & Women's Hospital, Boston.
He leaves a son, Thomas J. Johnson of Worcester; a daughter, Elizabeth Johnson of Old Orchard Beach, ME; his longtime companion, Sarah Todd of Worcester; a brother, William P. Johnson and his wife Laurie of Auburn; four sisters, Patricia A. Johnson and her husband James Giles of Ithaca, NY, Mary Ellen Chute and her husband Paul of West Hartford, CT, H. Beth Thulin and her husband Richard of Millbury, and Ann M. Leary and her husband Kevin of Worcester. He was predeceased by a sister, Lynn A. Kirby, in February.
He was born in Worcester, the son of Harold A. and Helen E. (McGinn) Johnson and graduated from Doherty Memorial High School. Mr. Johnson was a mechanic and auto body technician for many years. He owned and operated Dirty Harry's for several years and most recently worked at Carsmetics in Worcester. He enjoyed cars and fishing.
Friends and relatives may visit from 9:30 until 10:30 A.M. Thursday, December 1st in O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. His funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 A.M. in the Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Auburn. Donations in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
