Valenty Joseph Kurosz crossed over on Friday, November 25, 2016 after a second bout with cancer. Born February 10, 1960 in Riverhead, NY to parents Valenty and Karin (Johnson) Kurosz of Westhampton, NY. He was a graduate of Westhampton Beach High School and earned a BA from the State University of New York at Albany. He worked for over thirty years as a tour and cruise operator for various companies and was fortunate to have the opportunity to visit many wonderful and beautiful places around the world. Joseph was Treasurer and chief fundraiser at the East Hampstead Union Church for over fifteen years. He was an amateur genealogist and searched for living relatives in Sweden and all around the world.
He is survived by his parents and brother, Edward Kurosz of Westhampton beach, NY and many, many cousins. He leaves behind dear friends and kindred spirits Mary Weston, Magdalena Herr, Paul Sweet, Charlotte Kaufmann and Brandon Poisson, who brought joy to his life every day. He loved animals and will cross the Rainbow Bridge with his many furry companions.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at East Hampstead Union Church at 225 East Main Street, Route 121A on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at 3:00pm. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the East Hampstead Union Church, PO Box 109, East Hampstead, NH 03826.
