Roy Clark Wheaton, age 61, passed away in the loving arms of his wife Roxy on November 22, 2016. He was born on May 17, 1955 in St. Paul, Minnesota. The youngest of four siblings he was the apple of their eye, and they continued to be close throughout their lives. Roy met his wife Roxane in high school, and they were happily married for 41 years(together for 46!). Roy proudly spent time in the US Navy, being posted in Adak, Alaska and San Diego, California (much enjoyed location for a young married couple)!
Roy and Roxy eventually settled in St. Paul, Minnesota area to raise their two daughters, Amber and Heather. He was a loving and attentive husband and father. He was a funny and kind man who had many friends. Everyone who met him, loved him. Roy loved to travel. He enjoyed many trips with family and friends. Always up for trying a new adventure! In his last years, his best times were spent relaxing with his family. He adored his grandsons Owen and Oliver.
Roy is preceded in death by his father Robert Ellsworth Wheaton and mother Norma Mae Wheaton(Judkins). He is survived by his wife Roxane Jean Wheaton (Girling) and two daughters and two loving son-in-laws, and two cherished grandsons, Amber Jean Liebelt(Scott)(Owen Armstrong), and Heather Wheaton Hancock (Lance)(Oliver Hancock). He is survived by his siblings, Bob Wheaton(Pat), Grant Wheaton (LuAnn), and Nancy Immel. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and even a great-great nephew!
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 3rd, 2016 at Sandberg Funeral Home located at 2593 E. 7th Avenue, North St. Paul, MN 55109. The visitation will begin at 1:00pm and will be followed by a memorial service at 2:00pm.
