James Timothy "Tim" Fly, age 57, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, TN. He was born in Water Valley, MS on March 28, 1959 to the late James Elbert and Sarah Porter Fly. He enjoyed his work as a building contractor, and was often found working in his shop on a variety of projects. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing, and spending time with his friends. Tim was a member of North Main Methodist Church.
Services are planned for Sunday, November 27, 2016 at 3 pm in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home with Bennie Turnage officiating. Visitation will be from 1 until 3 pm prior to the service. Burial will be in Pine Flat Cemetery in Lafayette County with Randall, Naramore, David Wydale, Chuck Mayer, Larry Mayer, Lynn Havens, and Cliff Gardiner serving as pallbearers. Claude Hughes will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Cheryl Jaudon Fly of Water Valley, MS; one sister, Debbie Fly Hayward and her husband David of Grenada, MS; three nieces and three nephews; and a host of relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Faron Fly.
