Ben Lockett
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Monday, November 21, 2016, Mr. Benjiman Thomas Lockett, Sr. 93, husband of the late Mrs. Flora Ellerbe Lockett.
Mr. Lockett was a native of Thomson, GA but lived in Augusta for many years. He retired from Southern Bell. Mr. Lockett was a member of Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church and was one of the head ushers for many years. He was a member of the John S. Davidson Masonic Lodge #677 F&AM where he served twice as the Worshipful Master. Mr. Lockett served in the United States Army and was a World War II Veteran.
Family members include son: Tom Lockett (Pat); daughter: Priscilla Carroll; granddaughter: Valerie Raczynski (Travis); five great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church with Dr. Mike Cash and Rev. Greg Hatfield officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 A.M. in the gathering area at the church.
