Jay Lewis Griffin, age 74, of Water Valley, MS died Monday, November 21, 2016 at The Med in Memphis, TN of injuries from a fall.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Betty Sanders Griffin of Water Valley, MS; two sons, Mike (Angel) Griffin and Jeff (Jessi) Griffin of Pontotoc, MS; a daughter, Christy (Eddie) Gentry of Pontotoc, MS; five grandsons, Jordan and Bailey Allred of Bogue Chitto, MS, Tanner, Pierce and Cole Griffin all of Pontotoc, MS; five step grandsons, Erik, Austin and Alek Gentry and Jack and Jake Hall; two step granddaughters, Tristen and Riley; and one step great-granddaughter, Sadie Gentry.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J.T. and Marie Cook Griffin; and his brother, Jimmy Griffin.
A memorial service will be held from 12:00 o’clock noon until 3:00 pm on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at his home - 75 County Road 99, Water Valley, MS.
