Michael Curran, 61 of Franklin, MA died peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday, November 22, 2016. He was the beloved husband of 34 years to Barbara and the adoring father to Melissa “Missy” and Shaina.
Michael was raised and educated in Medway, MA were he participated in football, gymnastics and track. He followed in his father’s footsteps serving his country proudly in the US Marine Corps. He was honorable discharged after four years of service achieving the rank of Corporal. Returning home to Medway he married Barbara and began a 36-year career with the Teamsters Local 25.
His children will remember him as their coach for many sports throughout their lives. He never missed one of their games; you could even find him at the neighbor’s games cheering on the local teams. Michael’s friends will remember him for his caring personality and his ability to find good in every situation.
Family and friends are invited to attend his funeral Mass at St. Mary Church, 1 Church Square, Franklin on Friday, November 25 at 10:00AM.
A private burial will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA
