Obituary

Broder, Claire of Wellesley, died suddenly on November 19. at home after a prolonged struggle with Parkinson’s Disease. Beloved wife of Robert A. Broder for 52 years, devoted mother of Alessandra and her husband Richard Salvaggio of Natick, and her adored grandchildren Veronica and Joshua. She is survived by her sister Carol O’Keefe and her husband Thomas of Arlington, and Cynthia Meo Hubbard of Newton. She leaves her nephew Brian and wife Judy O’Keefe of Natick and their sons Thomas and Jason.

Claire was born in Boston, grew up in Arlington, and attended Wellesley College, where she happily volunteered her services for many programs such as Authors on Stage, and other Alumni functions. Following graduation, she worked at Filenes in Wellesley, until the birth of her child.

Claire traveled extensively with her husband and daughter to visit family in Italy, and joined him in living in Mexico where he directed an architectural studio.

A Funeral Mass will be held for Claire on Friday, November 25 at Saint Paul’s Church, Wellesley at 10am followed by interment at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Natick. Expressions of sympathy may be made in Claire’s memory to the National Parkinson’s Foundation.
