T.J. Cole, 35, of Savannah, Georgia, died Saturday, November 19, 2016, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at Christian Fellowship with the Rev. Terry Cole and the Rev. Rex Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Fitzgerald Family Cemetery in Wilcox County. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Tuesday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
T.J. was born May 13, 1981, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to Terry & Linda Sue Fitzgerald Cole. He attended Wilcox County schools. He was formerly a correctional officer at Wilcox State Prison in Abbeville. He was transferred to Coastal State Prison and fell in love with the Georgia coast. He returned home to Wilcox County and worked in sales at Tifton Harley Davidson. In July, T.J. moved back to Savannah and worked as the depot manager for Old Savannah Tours. He loved going to the beach and the lake and was a regular at North Beach Grill on Tybee Island. T.J. was a very giving person, full of love and life. He enjoyed making people laugh and brought sunshine into many lives.
He is survived by his wife, Michelle Braddy Cole of Savannah; a daughter, Lily Grace Cole of Savannah; his parents, Terry & Linda Sue Cole of Abbeville; siblings: Mary Beth Hart and her husband Eric of Fitzgerald, J.B. Cole of Fitzgerald, and Megan Cole of Abbeville; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
