Lifelong Tewksbury Resident
TEWKSBURY: Kathleen M. “Kay” (Sheehan) Bolton, age 83, a lifelong resident of Tewksbury, passed away at Care One of Wilmington on Saturday, November 19, 2016. Surrounded by her loving family.
She was the beloved wife of retired Tewksbury Police Sergeant Clifford D. Bolton who passed away on January 23, 2000.
Born in Tewksbury on March 9, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Daniel J. Sheehan and the late Nora T. (Barry) Sheehan.
Kay attended Tewksbury schools and graduated from Tewksbury High School in 1950 where she was captain of the cheerleading squad.
Following her marriage, Kay dedicated her life to her family.
She enjoyed traveling to Walt Disney World and Aruba, hosting family gatherings, playing cards, and collecting Walt Disney memorabilia.
She was the loving mother of four daughters, Linda A. Bolton and her husband Leonard of Tewksbury, the late Mary K. Sussenberger and her longtime companion Peter Amari, Susan M. Boyko and her husband Larry of Pelham, NH, and Kathryn N. Graham and her husband James of Tewksbury; beloved grandmother of Leonard F. Bolton, Jr., Victoria P. Dube, Katie T. Arey, and Timothy C. Bolton, , Karl B. and Jacob H.F. Sussenberger, Wayne A., Michael C., and Jacqueline S. Boyko, James G., Benjamin A. and the late Jason P. Graham; and great grandmother of Robert C. Bolton, Hailey M. and Shayla K. Russell, Savannah D. and Meadow R. Bolton, Riley A., Kayla J. and Samantha K. Bolton, Kegan T. Arey, Eben D. and Ellis W. Boyko, Jason C. and Kaelyn P. Graham, and Tyler and Blake Lewis.
Kay is survived by her sister, Eileen S. Anderson of Wenatchee, Washington, and predeceased by brothers Daniel R. Sheehan, Donald E. Sheehan, and her sister Jacqueline D. Strem all of Tewksbury; Kay also leaves many nieces, nephews , grandnieces, grandnephews, and extended family members.
Calling hours are Friday, 11/25, from 3-7 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, 11/26 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment at Tewksbury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kay’s memory may be made to St. Jude at Memorial and Honor Gifts P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142 Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
