Brenda Jane Jones Fogarty, 63, of Dublin, formerly of Valdosta, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2016, at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2016, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Joseph L. Crumley officiating. Mrs. Fogarty will be laid to rest at Mount Vernon Cemetery in Eldorado. The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 22, 2016, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Born December 20, 1952 in Valdosta, Mrs. Fogarty was the daughter of the late Dewitt Jones and June Buttick Jones. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Billy A. Sutton and her second husband, Jimmy Fogarty. She was retired.
Mrs. Fogarty is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Sarah Monk and Tommy and Joanne Sutton, all of Dublin; a daughter and daughter-in-law, Robin Monk and Jackie Kresin of Valdosta; a brother, Franklin Jones of Valdosta; two sisters, Patricia Sirmans of Valdosta and Fonda Melton of Moultrie; eleven grandchildren, Tiffany Monk, Chasity Monk, Danielle Monk, Marshal Kresin, Adam Thompson, Erin Joachimi, Jacob Joachimi, Cody Joachimi, Joshua Monk, Rebekkah Stanton and Kendrah Stanton; and six great-grandchildren.
