In Taunton, November 18, 2016 Walter W. Rogers, passed away with his son by his side at Morton Hospital following a brief illness. Walter was born in Taunton, the son of the late Manuel & Georgana (DeMoura) Rogers. He was a resident of Taunton most of his life. Walter attended Taunton schools and was a graduate of Taunton High School. He was employed for the Taunton Boy’s & Girl’s Club until his retirement and prior to that worked for both the Princess House and F.B. Rogers Silver Co. He enjoyed sports, gardening, camping, doing arts and crafts especially woodworking. He leaves his loving son Walter W. Rogers Jr. and his companion Lisa Davis and her son Jack all of Taunton. He is survived by his siblings Elaine Braga, Deborah Smith, Mary Ann Barreira, David Rogers and the late Dorothy Sheldon, Shirley Hebert, Georgianna Ferreira and Sammy Rogers. Funeral home visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, November 23rd from 5-7 pm. Burial is private at the request of the family.
