Diana E. (Cather) Kolesnik, 90 of Worcester passed away peacefully at her home Thursday, November 17, 2016. She was the daughter of William F. Cather and Alice H. (Larson) Cather.
She was predeceased by her husband Stanley J. Kolesnik who passed away in 1990. Stanley and Diana had a storybook marriage of over 42 years. She was also predeceased by two brothers and a sister; Gregory Cather, William Cather, and Patricia Kane. She was a 90 plus year resident of Columbus Park, a graduate of South High School, and was employed at Crompton and Knowles prior to marriage.
She leaves behind two sons, Robert Kolesnik and his wife Theresa, of Charlton, Ma. and a son Richard Kolesnik of Worcester. She leaves behind a grandson Mathew Kolesnik, and his wife Krystal, of Dudley, Ma. She also leaves behind nieces and nephews.
She was a long time member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, and also attended St Andrew the Apostle Church.
Diana loved her extended family, always lending an ear and words of encouragement. She was a member of the Red hats and loved to shop for others. She will be greatly missed by the lives she has touched.
Friends and family may visit from 5:00 utnil 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 22nd in O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Her funeral will be held Wednesday, November 23rd from the funeral home with a Mass at 10:00 A.M. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward Street. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. The family requests that flowers be omitted.
