SOUTH HADLEY – Patricia K. (Taugher) Bartosz, 86, of South Hadley, was Called Safely Home on Wednesday, November 16, 2016. She passed into Eternal Life at Holyoke Medical Center surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Holyoke on September 11, 1930, a beloved daughter of the late John J. and Elsie C. (Blackmer) Taugher. A resident of South Hadley for many years, she was employed as a cook for the Chicopee School Department and had worked at the Fairview, Bowie and Selser Schools. She was a member of the Life Point Church in Chicopee, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Post 438 in Chicopee and the Industrial Bowling League of Holyoke. She was predeceased by her beloved husband and best friend of 56 years, Raymond V. Bartosz who was Called Home on February 27, 2006. She leaves her three loving children, Raymond J. Bartosz and his wife, Brenda, Kerry V. Bartosz and his wife, Denise, and Cindy A. Doray and her husband, Norman, all of Chicopee; her seven cherished grandchildren, Lance Bartosz and his wife, Jennifer, Eric Bartosz and his wife, Trish, Katie Bartosz, Mark Bartosz and his fiancée, Lindsey LaBelle, Heather Doray, Jason Doray and his wife, Amy, and Megan Bernash and her husband, Greg; her nine cherished great-grandchildren and one additional great-grandchild on the way; her two dear sisters, Elissa Terrell of Deerfield and Nancy Tanguay of Holyoke; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended members of the Bartosz and Taugher families. Besides her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by her dear brother, Jack Taugher and her dear sister, Jill Proulx. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday morning, November 22, 2016 beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Fairview Chapels, (413-533-3307), 506 Britton Street, Chicopee, MA 01020, followed by a Funeral Service at 10 a.m. at Life Point Church, 603 New Ludlow Road, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her burial will follow the service at Mater Dolorosa Cemetery, 152 Pittroff Avenue, South Hadley, MA 01075. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, November 21, 2016 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The parking lot is located in the rear of the funeral home.
