Obituary

Kathryn T. (Fralick) Costa of Medford died on Thursday, November 17, at Winchester Hospital. Born and raised in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Kathryn (Calnan) Fralick. Kathryn was a resident of Medford for 50 years.

Kathryn was the beloved wife of Andrew Costa, and the devoted mother of Andrew W. Costa and his wife Lisa of Medford, Stephen M. Costa and his wife Susan of Burlington, Christopher Costa and his loving companion Michelle Balboni of Bristol, NH, and Deborah L. Costa of Medford. She was the loving grandmother of Courtney, Jennifer, Michael and Sarah Costa, Sean Balboni, Kevin Sullivan, Kyle and Caitlin Oldziey, and the loving great grandmother of Lia Marie Nilson and Anthony Costa Nilson. Kathryn was the sister of Richard Fralick and his wife Katy of Durham, NH, Arthur Fralick of California, and the late Karen Chiary. She is also survived by her beloved cat Chooch, and many loving nieces and nephews.

More than anything in the world, Kathy enjoyed and cherished her family. She was their mother and friend and their most trusted confidant. She would listen and laugh or cry, whatever was needed at the moment. She treated every friend her children every had as her own. She was loved immediately by anyone that was fortunate to meet her.

Kathy and Andrew enjoyed their dinners out with their many wonderful friends. She was loved by all that served her, from the waitresses, the hostesses, the owners ,cooks and the ones that took her keno numbers. She considered them all friends and family. She enjoyed her and Andrew's many trips to the casinos, and all the other travels they enjoyed over the years. And we can't forget her cats . . . she loved her cats!

Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Monday, November 21 at 8:30AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High St., Medford, at 9:30AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Visiting hours Sunday, November 20 from 4 through 8PM.
