Carlos Efrain Hernandez, age 51, a long time resident of Boston, MA who was born in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico to the late Efrain Hernandez and late Amalia Hernandez passed away peacefully at Brigham and Woman’s Hospital surrounded by family on Thursday, November 17th. Beloved husband to Donna (Jarvis) Hernandez, Devoted father to his 2 children: Keylanis Hernandez and Carlos Manuel Hernandez. Carlos recently became a grandfather to his first grandson Lionel Perez. Stepfather to Donna Krance, Elysse Bennett, Alita Doom, and Michelle Horner. And loving “Papa Carlos” to Delilah Bennett, Isabella Bennett, Bobby Krance, Andrew Krance, and Dylan Krance. Carlos was retired and loved spending time with his family. He also loved sports especially baseball and played many years softball in a league. He is survived by 3 sisters and 1 brother: Awilda Ortiz of Dorchester, Jose Hernandez of South Attleboro, Ermelinda Perez of Jamaica Plain and Seida Hernandez-Hawe of North Attleborough. Carlos was a Loving uncle to his 9 nieces and nephews: Gabili Ortiz, Daniel A. Perez, Jessica M. Perez, Joao Barbosa, Tiziana A. Hernandez, Tizia M. Hernandez, Alicia L. Hawe and Nicholas R. Hawe, and Anahi Ortiz. Visiting hours will be held at the Brady & Fallon Funeral Home 10 Tower St. (Opp. Forest Hills MBTA Station) Jamaica Plain on Sunday November 20 from 4-7PM. Friends and relatives are invited to attend. His family will gather at the funeral home again on Monday November 21 from 10AM until 11AM before traveling in procession to New Calvary Cemetery, Mattapan.
