Robert King, 85, of Pompano Beach, Florida and formerly of Berlin & Gorham, passed away on Sunday October 30, 2016. He was born in Berlin, New Hampshire on April 29, 1931 the son of the late Dewey and Alice (Lamontagne) King and lived most of his life in the Berlin-Gorham area prior to moving to Florida. Robert was a US Navy veteran, where he had served four years. He owned and operated King’s Store in Berlin and then the Tourist Village Motel in Gorham, which later became The Royalty Inn. He was a member of Holy Family Church. His enjoyments included hunting and fishing.
Members of the family include his wife Annette (Martineau) King of Pompano Beach, Florida; three sons Robert D. King and his wife Laura of Berlin, New Hampshire, Richard King and his wife Lise of Gorham, New Hampshire and The Villages, Florida and Donald King and his wife Cynthia of Pompano Beach, Florida; seven grandchildren Kelli King, Kayla King, Curtis King, Ryan King, Logan King, Cynthia Litvin and Andrea Ferron.
SERVICES: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday December 27, 2016 at 10 AM at Holy Family Church, Gorham, New Hampshire. Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 1 Promenade Street, Gorham, New Hampshire on Monday evening from 6 to 8 PM.
