CROSS, Patricia Benny 82, passed away in her home on November 17, 2016 after a long and courageous battle with ovarian cancer. A resident of Wellesley for almost 50 years, Patricia was the loving wife of the late Warren "Red" Cross and the devoted mother of Deborah Cross Werner and her husband Richard of Bethesda, Cynthia Cross Boyle of Chatham and Terrence Boyle of Wellesley, Warren Cross, Jr. and his wife Kristin of Natick, Melissa Cross Bowser and her husband David of Wellesley, and Daphne Cross Rayment and her husband Sean of Medfield. She was also the doting grandmother of Jamie, Morgan, and Stephen Werner; Travis, Riley, Tim, and Carley Boyle; Kendall and Campbell Armstrong, Warren III, and Cal Cross; David Jr., Casey, Kyle, Brian, Drew, and Brycie Bowser; and Bailey, Sean Jr., Brodie, Brooks, and Turner Rayment. She was also blessed to be the great-grandmother of Kaylee Armstrong. She is further survived by her brother Robert A. Benny and his wife Christine of Wellesley, her sister Rosalie Benny Zanoni of Wethersfield, CT, her brother-in-law Gorham L. Cross, Jr. and his wife Joan of Needham, and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St., (Rt. 16) WELLESLEY on Monday, November 21 from 4-8 PM. Funeral Mass will be at St. Paul Church, Wellesley on Tuesday, November 22 at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a reception at the Wellesley Country Club following the Mass.
