WAYLAND: Harold F. Curtin, Jr., 89, formerly of Lowell and New York died on October 28, 2016.
He was born on December 7, 1926 in Lowell the son of the late Harold F. Curtin, Sr. and Yvonne C. (Martin) Curtin.
Harold was the husband for 60 years of the late Mary Hodgson Curtin who died on July 12, 2013. He was the father of Dr. Harold F. Curtin, III and his wife Kathy of Wayland and
T. Barrett Curtin of Wayland, formerly of Venice. CA. Grandfather of Patrick, Erin and Douglas Curtin of Wayland. Brother-in-law of Gerry Curtin of Seabrook, NH. Brother of the late Doris Curtin Hart formerly of Lowell and Robert E. Curtin formerly of Seabrook, NH.
Harold spent his formative years in Lowell and attended Suffolk University. In 1944, he entered the United States Army and served on active duty during World War II prior to entering the United States Air Force Reserves for several years. He had a long and successful career in retail sales including Anderson Little and Sears.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, November 25, 2016 at 10:00 am at the Good Shepherd Parish at St. Ann’s Church, 127 Cochituate Road (Rte. 27), Wayland.
Private family interment will be held in the Curtin family lot in Lakeview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Harold’s memory may be made to K9’s for Warriors at http://www.k9sforwarriors.com or the charity of one’s choice.
