Arthur D. "Butchie" Reid III, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life suddenly on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital in Melrose. He was 48 years old.
Butchie was born in Boston on November 14, 1967, a son of Arthur D. "Butchie" Reid Jr. and Florence (Bissonette) Reid. He grew up in Charlestown where he was educated in the Boston Public School system. Butchie worked as a laborer for several construction companies in the area. Butchie was a very gentle and giving person, always looking out for anyone who needed help or just a shoulder to lean on. His passion in life was his art work and the many sketches of his work that he gave away to his many beloved family and friends.
Butchie is the beloved son of Arthur D. "Butchie" Reid Jr. and the late Florence (Bissonette) Reid. He is the dear companion of Alice Sullivan and her children Frankie and Brenna. He is the devoted brother of Kathy King, Lisa Coleman, Lola Clarke, Kim Reid and Vernon Clarke. He is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Butchie's visiting hours on Saturday morning, November 19, 2016 from 8:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by his Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 11 A.M. His burial will be private.
