Obituary

SPENCER: Barbara S. (Johnson) Dumas 85, formerly of Chestnut St., died Monday, Nov. 14th. at Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge.
She was the wife of Claude U. Dumas who died in 2006. She leaves her daughter Elaine E. Chipman and her husband Prescott of No.Brookfield, two brothers Ronald Erickson of Chicopee, and Bruce Sjoblad of Fla., a sister Elaine Slaton of Fla., six grandchildren Prescott Chipman, III, Emily Ledoux, Katharin Rufus, Sarah Chipman, Mary Chipman and Benjamin Chipman, five great grandchildren Keziah, Lillian, Sadie, Paul and Audrey, several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her son Roger W. Dumas and brother Roger Erickson.
Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of Siegfried Erickson and Elva Johnson. She was a shoe worker at the former Klevin Shoe Co. in Spencer. She was a member of the Leicester Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.She enjoyed spending time with her family.
A Memorial Celebration will be held at a later date and at a time to be announced. Burial alongside her husband will be held in Mary, Queen of the Rosary Cemetery, Spencer at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Leicester Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, 3 Chapel St., Cherry Valley, Ma. 01611.
