Stephen Jerome Evans, 58, of Albany, died Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Emory University Hospital.
His funeral service will be at 2 PM on Friday, November 18, 2016 at Gillionville Baptist Church. The Rev. Tony Haefs will officiate, assisted by Revs. Wayne Johnson and Chad Ellis. The family will receive friends prior to the service at Gillionville Baptist Church on Friday beginning at 1 PM until the funeral hour.
Mr. Evans was born in Fitzgerald, GA, and he had lived in Albany since 1990. He graduated from Fitzgerald High School in 1975. He graduated from ABAC in 1977. Mr. Evans was a member of Gillionville Baptist Church and the Whitfield Sunday School Class. He was a former member of the Dougherty Kiwanis Club. Mr. Evans was a retired district agent for Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Co. He was an avid outdoorsman.
Mr. Evans is survived by his wife: Sharon Bailey Evans, Albany; 2 daughters: Kristen Evans Fowler, Pensacola, FL, Anna Beth Evans, Mobile, AL; parents: Wiley and Charlene Evans, Fitzgerald; 2 brothers: Mark Evans (Dana), Statesboro, GA, David Evans (Cristina), Fitzgerald; nieces and nephews.
